WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College men's tennis team, seeded fourth, missed on a chance to extend its season Saturday when it lost at home in a North Eastern Athletic Conference play-in match against No. 5 seed Penn State Abington, 3-6, to finish 1-4.
How it happened: In avenging a 3-6 regular-season loss to the Wildcats on Tuesday, Penn State Abington captured four singles and two doubles matches.
Inside the box: Tucker Phillippe-Johansson completed a perfect conference season at the No. 1 singles position with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 win. Also for Penn College,
Daniel Gianelle won by forfeit at No. 6 singles and Gianelle and
Tommy Cavanagh won by forfeit at No. 3 doubles.
