WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College tied Lancaster Bible College, 1-1, in an United East soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats are 1-3-2 overall, 0-0-1 United East, while the Chargers sit at 3-1-1, 0-0-1.
How it Happened: Colton Wartman broke a 0-0 deadlock in the 80
th minute when he belted a shot from 20 yards out and the ball finished in the top right corner to give Penn College a 1-0 lead. Chad Tolson netted the equalizer five minutes later when he deposited an Owen Yoder pass to make it 1-1.
Neither team had a shot on frame in the first overtime, while
Braeden Eckard turned away two shots in the second overtime and
Dylan Snyder and
Dylan Dailey both had shot stopped in the final period.
Inside the Box: LBC outshot Penn College, 22-16, and held a 10-8 advantage in corner kicks.
Eckard finished the game with nine saves in goal for the Wildcats.
