WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 6-0 decision to Wilkes University in a non-conference women's soccer match Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 4-4, while the Colonels improved to 2-5.
How it Happened: Wilkes added two early goals in the fourth and 12
th minutes to take a 2-0 lead and tacked on a late goal before the break to take a 3-0 lead at halftime. Penn College had two shots on goal in the first half but attempts from
Cassie Johnson and Billiegean Hennessy were turned away.
The Colonels made it 4-0 in the 48
th minute and scored two in the 81
st minute.
Inside the Box: Wilkes outshot Penn College, 26-6, and held a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Nicole Lichtinger picked up 11 saves in goal for the Wildcats.
