AURORA, N.Y. — After a scoreless first half, the Penn College men's soccer team erupted in the second half for a 4-1 season-ending United East win at Wells College on Saturday. The Wildcats finished 3-4-1 in the conference and 5-10-3 overall. Wells ends 0-8 UE and 0-15 overall.
How it happened: Will Gallagher put Penn College on top 1-0 in the 50th minute before Wells knotted the score five seconds later. The Wildcats then added goals in the 63rd minute, by Tad Shellenberger; 66th minute, by Matt Neeson; and 79th minute, by Tyler Scheetz on an assist from Brayden Gardner.
Inside the box: Penn College led in shots, 28-7 (16-5 on goal), and in corner kicks, 10-1.
In goal, Braeden Eckard recorded four saves.
