WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College dropped a 73-50 decision to Lancaster Bible in a United East women's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 6-15 overall, 5-9 United East, while the Chargers improved to 13-11, 10-5.
How it happened: Penn College erased a 14-7 first quarter deficit with a 10-0 run to end the first quarter ahead 17-14.

Rachel Teats and
Maci Ilgen both knocked down threes to put the Wildcats ahead after the first.
Lancaster Bible opened the second quarter with 9-0 spurt to take a 23-17 lead with 5:07 left in the period. Penn College got as close as two, 23-21, on an Ilgen layup with 3:54 on the clock but LBC answered with a 12-4 run to head into halftime ahead 35-25.
Ilgen's layup with 3:47 left in the third pulled Penn College within five, 40-35, before the Chargers end the third with an 8-4 spurt to take a 48-39 advantage. LBC opened the fourth with a 12-3 run and led by double-digits the remainder of the game.
Inside the box: Ilgen, Teats, and Kuhns scored 13 points each to pace Penn College.
Jade Eshleman scored a game-high 17 for Lancaster Bible and Sydney Heller added 16.
