GALLOWAY, N.J. – Penn College fell in a pair of one-run games to Stockton University in a non-conference baseball doubleheader Sunday. The Wildcats lost 5-4 in 11 innings in game one and fell 1-0 in the six-inning nightcap that was halted early due to darkness.
Penn College fell to 0-2, while the Osprey improved to 2-0.
In game one,
How it happened: Penn College built a 4-0 lead with a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Kolten Smith scored on an error in the fifth before
Brian Robison made it 2-0 with s ingle to left.
Jake Wagner gave Penn College a 4-0 lead with a two-run single to right in the sixth.
Stockton added a run in the eighth and three in the ninth to send the game into extra inning. A single to center in the bottom of the 11
th secured the win.
Inside the box: Wagner led Penn College with three hits, while
Jacob Carles and Robison finished with two hits each.
Justin Porter started on the bump for Penn College and fired five innings, allowing no runs, on one hit, with five strikeouts. The Wildcats bullpen surrendered five earned runs on eight hits.
In game two,
How it happened: Penn College was held to two hits while Stockton picked up its lone run on a sacrifice fly in the third.

Tristan Current and
Cameron Dick each recorded a hit for Penn College.
Chance Webb took the loss on the mound after allowing one earned run, on three hits, with three walks.
