MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn college dropped game one in the United East Conference tournament by a score of 18-4 against Penn State Harrisburg on Monday afternoon.
How it Happened: The Wildcats offense came on a solo homerun by
Brian Robison in the top of the third inning and in the top of the sixth inning
Tyler Rudolph laced a two-RBI single up the middle. Dallas Hite for Penn State Harrisburg put on a show as he finished the game 4-for-5 from the plate with 10 RBI's, three home runs (two of which were grand slams) and three runs scored.
In the Box: The Wildcats had six hits in the game with Robison and Rudolph accounting for a pair of hits each.
Chance Webb (5-2) took the loss on the mound after allowing seven runs and nine hits in three innings of work.
Tristan Current pitched well in relief, allowing one run in three innings pitched.
Penn College will look to stay alive in the United East Conference tournament tomorrow morning at 9:00 am. They will play the loser of Penn State Abington and Lancaster Bible College in an elimination game at Penn State Harrisburg.
