WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College battled King's College in a 3-1 setback in a nonconference women's volleyball match Monday. The Wildcats won the first set, 25-14, before failing 25-17, 25-18, and 25-21. PCT fell to 1-5, while the Monarchs improved to 3-2.

How it happened: Lauren Hergert's kill gave Penn College its largest lead in the first set, 19-10, and the Wildcats closed on the set with four unanswered points – including Coryn Oswald's set-winning kill. King's led wire-to-wire in the second set before fending off the Wildcats, who tied the set seven times, to take the third set.

Cheyenne Stein's ace and an attack error put Penn College ahead, 10-7, in the fourth set before King's answered with rallied with five straight points to lead 12-10 and later built a 24-15 advantage. The Wildcats made a final push with six consecutive points – including kills from Stein Hailey DeBrody, and Maggie Mangene, put the Monarchs regrouped to get the final point.
