ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. -- The fifth-seeded Penn College Men's soccer team bowed out of the United East Conference playoffs after a 5-1 final at fourth-seeded St. Mary's, on Saturday, Oct. 28. The Wildcats complete their 2023 campaign with a 7-7-3 overall record (2-3-1 UEC). The Seahawks advance to the Volt Division Semifinal with a 9-6-3 record.
How it happened: The Seahawks got off to a hot start on their home field, to lead by four (4-0) after the first 45 minutes. St. Mary's pushed its lead to five at the 48:45 mark before
Cooper Smith put the Wildcats on the board with a successful penalty kick in the 70th minute.
Inside the box: PCT was out shot 23-8 (12-4 SOG) in the match while
Cole Catherman scooped up seven saves.
