WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College women's volleyball fell to St. Mary's, 4-1, in the regular-season finale on Saturday, Oct. 28. The Wildcats finish 4-17 overall and 0-6 in UEC action while the Seahawks moved to 11-15 overall, 2-4 UEC.
How it happened: St. Mary's captured the first set, 25-18, before the Wildcats battled back to earn a 25-23 win in set two. The Seahawks were able to close out the match with set three and four victories, 25-14 and 25-16, respectively. St. Mary's racked up 20 aces which proved to be the difference.
Inside the box: Marianna Dariychuk led the squad with 12 kills. SeniorsÂ
Coryn Oswald chipped in with six kills and 16 digs while
Lauren Hergert added four kills and 11 digs.
Cheyenne Stein tallied a team-best 19 assists, 14 digs and four of the team's seven aces.
Maggie Mangene finished with three kills and
Madison Shaffer had one kill to highlight the Senior Day action.
