WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College's tennis teams dropped their United East-season finale matches on Saturday against Penn State Harrisburg, the men falling 7-2 and the women losing 9-0. The Wildcat men finish 1-5 in the conference and are 2-7 overall and the women finish 0-5 in the UE and are 2-8 overall. Penn State Harrisburg's men are 4-1 UE and 8-4 overall, while its women are 4-1 UE and 7-5 overall.
How it happened: Penn College's men won two singles matches, while its women dropped all six singles and three doubles matches.
Inside the box: Paul Langbein posted a 4-6, 7-5, 10-4 win at No. 1 singles and
Logan Ogden scored a 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker), 7-6 (7-5 tiebreaker) win at No. 5 singles for the Penn College men.
Lauren Peck, at No. 2 singles, and
Georgia Macensky, at No. 3 singles, had the most competitive matches for the Wildcat women as Peck fell, 7-5, 6-0, and Macensky lost, 6-3, 6-1.
