Wildcats fall at Kean University

UNION, N.J. — Penn College outscored Kean University 5-1 in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to overcome an 11-goal deficit in a 17-10 nonconference loss in men's lacrosse action at Kean University on Saturday. Penn College now is 9-4 overall and Kean is 10-2.

How it happened: The Wildcats opened the scoring before Kean took charge to lead 5-2 after one period and then added seven goals in the second quarter to two for Penn College for a 12-4 halftime edge. Kean upped its lead to 11 (16-5) after winning the third period, 4-1, before the Wildcats' rally.

Up next: Penn College hosts Hilbert College in United East play at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
