Box Score ALFRED, N.Y. – Penn College women's soccer wrapped up its three-game road test with an offensive explosion as the Wildcats downed Alfred State, 6-1, behind a hat-trick from
Kaelynn Sheetz. The Wildcats are now 3-0-3 overall heading into a four-game homestand while the Pioneers drop to 1-3-1 on the season.
How it happened: Sheetz moves to just one goal from tying the program record after securing her first hat-trick of the season. The Wildcats' goals leader scored in the 15th, 30th and 50th minute of the match.
Brooke Klinger scored the Wildcats' third goal in the 40th minute and
BillieGean Hennessy tallied a pair of scores in the 55th and 86th.
Sara Darlington,
Piper Minier and
Teagan Willey were all credited with two assists in the offensive display.
Inside the box: Penn College's offense tallied 12 shots to the Pioneers' seven and lined up for six corners.
Nicole Lichtinger was credited with three saves in the win.
Up next: The Wildcats return to UPMC Field to begin a four-game homestand on Sunday, Sept. 17, when the team hosts Marymount at 1 p.m.
