Late Penn College Equalizer Leads to 1-1 Draw at Geneva

Box Score BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — Penn College's women's soccer team broke past the Geneva defense in the 85th minute to tally the Wildcats' second consecutive draw to open the 2023 season. Penn College moves to 0-0-2 while the Tornadoes sit at 1-0-1.
 
How it happened: After a scoreless opening half, Geneva found the back of the net in the 68th minute. The Tornadoes held the lead before Wiley Egan assisted Kaelynn Sheetz for her third goal of the year at the 84:17 mark.
 
Inside the box: Penn College goalkeeper Morgan Solano turned away seven of eight Tornado shots on goal. The Wildcats put two of their four total shots on frame. Sheetz accounted for three shots (two on goal). 
 
Up next: Penn College welcomes Clarks Summit to UPMC FIeld on Tuesday, Sept.5 at 5 p.m., and Wilson College on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m., for the first home action of the season.
