NEW BRITAIN, Pa. — Penn College's women's volleyball team fell to Penn State York, 3-1 and Delaware Valley, 3-0 in nonconference volleyball action on Saturday. The Wildcats are now 0-3, Penn State York moves to 1-0 and Delaware Valley sits at 1-1.
How it happened: In the first match of the day, the Wildcats claimed set one, 25-16, going on a 9-3 run to close the out the set. Penn State York was the first to 25 in the next three frames to earn the win. The Aggies posted a three-set sweep of the Wildcats, 25-15, 25-21, 25-13 in their home gym.
Inside the box: Coryn Oswald posted a team-high 10 kills against Penn State York and
Marianna Dariychuk added nine kills.
Cheyenne Stein totaled 22 assists in the first match. Oswald reached double-digit kills against Delaware Valley (13 kills) and posted a .244 attack percentage while Stein totaled 14 assists.
