Wildcats Earn Third Consecutive Shutout

La PLUME, Pa. — Penn College's women's soccer earned its third-straight shutout and has improved to 6-0-5, marking the team's 11th-straight contest without defeat. The Giants fall to 1-6-0 in a United East divisional crossover match on Wednesday night.

How it happened: Wiley Egan notched her third goal of the season to get the Wildcats on the board in the 24th minute for a 1-0 lead at the half. Kaelynn Sheetz upped her total goals this season to 14, just one shy of the single-season program record in NCAA competition. Sheetz tallied a pair of goals in the 69th and 74th minute, and was assisted by Piper Minier and Rylee Oliphant, respectively.

Inside the box: Morgan Solano was credited with her second-straight shutout victory in net for the Wildcats as the team did not allow a shot on goal in the victory against the Giants.Penn College outpaced Keystone, 29-2 in shots and 18 on frame while lining up for eight corners.

Up next: Penn College is back in United East Volt Division action with a trip to Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 3:30 p.m.
