WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College women's volleyball snapped a four-match slide for its fourth win of the season in a 3-0 sweep of Clarks Summit on Friday, Sept. 29, inside Bardo Gym. The victory marks the program's most wins in a season since winning eight in 2016.
The Wildcats sit at 4-8 and prepare for a seven game road trip. Clarks Summit falls to 1-15 this season.
How it happened:
Cheyenne Stein posted a double-double as she finished with 20 assists and 12 digs while adding eight service aces including three in the first five points to set the tone for the Wildcats.
Lauren Hergert led the 'Cats with nine kills and four blocks while
Marianna Dariychuk was right behind her with eight kills.
Inside the box: Penn College racked up 15 aces and recorded four blocks in the victory while limiting the Lady Defenders to a sub-zero hitting percentage. The Wildcats had an efficient night, hitting 33.8%.
