Penn College wraps up undefeated regular season

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College concluded its unbeaten regular season with a 5-1 win over Bryn Athyn in a United East women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats finished the regular season 7-0-1 United East, 14-0-4 overall, while the Lions fell to 3-4-1, 6-8-1.

Penn College will likely earn either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in next week's United East playoffs.

How it happened: Sierra Klinger assisted on the Wildcats first three goals in the first half. She found Wiley Egan in the first minute with a cross from the right, before connecting with Cassie Johnson on back-to-back scores in the 14th and 30th minute to give PCT a 3-1 halftime lead.

Johnson scored her 13th goal of the season when she finished Olivia Casella's pass in the 56th minute. Klinger added her fourth assist of the game in the 76th minute when she hooked up with Megan Kurian to make it 5-1.

It was Kurian's 25th goal of the season and broke the previous single-season goal record set by Kaelynn Sheetz '24 last season.

Inside the box: Penn College outshot BAC, 20-11 (12-9 on-goal), while corner kicks were even at four each.

Nicole Lichtinger earned her 10th win of the season with eight saves in goal.

Up next: Penn College will return to action Saturday hosting the United East quarterfinals against an opponent to be determined.
