WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College surrendered a score in each half and fell to St. Mary's, 2-0, in a United East women's soccer semifinal Wednesday. The Wildcats concluded their season with their first setback and finished 15-1-4, while the Seahawks improved to 17-1-3 and advanced to Saturday's championship game opposite Penn State Harrisburg.
How it happened: Penn College had a pair of shots on frame in the first half but
Brooke Klinger's attempt in the 20
th minute, and
Megan Kurian's shot in the 29
th minute, were both saved. St. Mary's netted its first goal in the 31
st minute. The Wildcats saw its best opportunity for points in the 43
rd minute when Kurian's shot was saved and Kathyrn Dunn's rebound attempt was stopped.
The Seahawks made it 2-0 early in the second half on an assisted goal in the 53
rd minute. The Wildcats had three more quality shots the remainder of the game but shots from

Inside the box: Penn College outshot SMC, 11-8 (7-2 on-goal), while the Seahawks held a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
