PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Penn College dropped its season opener, 91-35 in nonconference women's basketball at the Chatham Cougar Tip-Off Classic against the host school on Friday night. The Wildcats start the season 0-1, Chatham is 1-0.
How it happened: A one-point, 10-9, first quarter lead with the help from the Wildcats' returning cast of seniors

Kenni Galbreath jumper with 1:28 on the clock was quickly diminshed by the Cougars in the second frame when the tournament host drained 26 points to lead 35-22 at the break.Â
The Cougars' pace continued into the third quarter with 34 points and its defense held the Wildcats to one
Gigi Parlante layup to gain a 69-23 lead after three quarters and finished out with a 91-35 final.
Inside the box: Parlante shined in her collegiate debut with a team-high 16 points and two assists while grabbing two rebounds and a steal. Galbreath aided with five points and the Wildcats' lone three of the game while seniors Teats, Pardee and
Kayleigh Miller all finished with four points.
Chatham hit 12 threes and shot 46.8% (37-for-79) while its defense grabbed 55 boards and caused 23 turnovers in the game.Â
