Penn College Drops Midweek Matchup at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Penn College dropped a midweek baseball game at Juniata, 6-5, in walk-off fashion on Thursday evening. The Wildcats fell to 4-5 on the season while the Eagles improved to 5-3.

How it happened: Juniata loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth with two outs for Jordan Chui to send in Sebastian Tringali as the winning run with an RBI single.

The Wildcats did all of their damage in the eighth inning, plating all five runs to tie the game. Ty Jenkins led off the inning with a walk before being replaced at first by David Wagner. Jaiden Augustine singles and Dallas Griess reach on a fielder's choice to put runners on the corners. Quinn Hanafin put three runs on the board with one swing as he homered to left field. Shane Townsend followed with a single and Adam Aldenderfer torched a triple to right field to make the score 5-4. Jaydon Gobel brought in Aldenderfer with a single to tie the game.

Down to their last at-bats, the Wildcats couldn't bring in Augustine who drew a one-out walk in the ninth.

Inside the box: Seven different Wildcats registered a hit in the game. Hanafin finished 1-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Zach Johnson led the Eagles at the plate, going 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.
