WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College won its second consecutive match with a 4-1 win over Pitt-Bradford in a nonconference men's soccer match Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 4-2-1, while the Panthers fell to 0-5.
How it happened: Bradford struck early in the fifth minute with an assisted goal before
Tommy DeGeyter belted in the equalizer for his third goal of the season in the 35
th minute. DeGeyter found
Jimmy Friedman for the go-ahead score in the 50
th minute before Friedman deposited
Cole Catherman's pass in the 74
th to make it 3-1.
Owen Mulhern connected with
Angelo Gudonis in the 77
th minute for the Wildcats final score.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot Pitt-Bradford, 24-2 (12-2 on-goal) and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks. Catherman turned away one shot and improved to 3-2 this season between the pipes.
