WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College netted a goal in both halves to knock off Keuka College, 2-0, in a nonconference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 1-2, while the Wolves fell to 0-2.
How it happened: Penn College took a 1-0 lead when
Peyton Jones collected the rebound off a
Tommy DeGeyter's saved shot and sent the ball to the back of the net in the 34
th minute. Penn College put two more shots in frame in the half, but attempts from
Mason Kostick and Jones were stopped.
DeGeyter made it 2-0 in the 57
th minute when he fired a shot from the 18 to the left corner to give PCT a 2-0 lead.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot Keuka, 20-10 (7-5 on-goal) and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Cole Catherman picked up the win between the pipes with five saves.
