WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College defeated Lancaster Bible, 4-1, Saturday afternoon in a United East women's soccer clash. The Wildcats improved to 5-1-0 in the league, 12-2-2 overall while the Chargers dropped to 5-3-0 UE, 10-6-0.
How it happened: Sara Darlington opened up the action with an unassisted goal in the fourth minute and
Brooke Klinger went bicycle kick to the upper 90 for the second goal in the 18th minute. LBC tacked on its only goal of the afternoon in the 28th minute and Darlington scored her second of the day in the 29th minute as the Wildcats held a 3-1 lead at the break.
Klinger netted her brace in the 68th minute on a corner insert from
Ashley Gordon for the lone score in the second half.Â
Inside the box: Darlington accounted for goals number 16 and 17 on the season and Klinger scored number six and seven.
Morgan Solano posted four saves in her fourth victory of the season.
Penn College held a 6-5 edge in shots on-goal and lined up for four corners.Â
