Wildcats Roll Falcons

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Penn College rolled to a 7-0 United East Conference women's soccer victory with seven different scorers at Cedar Crest on Sunday in the regular season finale. The Wildcats locked up the #3 seed in the conference postseason with a 7-1-0 UE record, 14-2-2 overall. Cedar Crest finished with a 2-5-0 UE, 3-11-0 overall record. 

How it happened: Mikayla Gordon started the action with a goal from an assist by Olivia Casella in the second minute. Sara Darlington scored her team-leading 18th goal in the 17th minute and Sara Pecchia scored in the 22nd minute to lead 3-0 at the half. 

Sierra Klinger (53'), Ella Garman (58'), Olivia Herman (67') and Cadence Holmberg (68') all scored in the second half before the game was called in the 70th minute. 

Inside the box: Morgan Solano posted two saves in goal to secure her third shutout of the season. Mikayla Gordon finished with a team-high four points while adding two assists in the game. Garman also finished with three points and Rylee Oliphant finished with two assists. 

Up next: Penn College hosts sixth-seeded Penn State Abington in a United East Quarterfinal match next Saturday with a time to be determined.
