Penn College men, women fall at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Penn College's men's and women's tennis teams both dropped 6-1 nonconference decisions at Juniata College on Saturday. The Penn College men are now 1-2 and its women are 0-5. Juniata's men improved to 2-1 and its women evened their record at 1-1.

How it happened men: Juniata won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches.

Inside the box men: Penn College's only wins came via forfeits at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

How it happened women: Juniata captured five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches.

Inside the box women: Posting wins for the Wildcats were Kiera Wene at No. 4 singles, 7-4, 5-6, 12-10 tiebreaker, and Wene-Faith Murray at No. 2 doubles, 6-4.

Up next: Penn College's women are at Kean University at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, and both teams travel to Susquehanna University for matches at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12.
