NEWVILLE, Pa. — Penn College's men's cross-country team finished 28th in a field of 31 with 801 points and the women were 27 of 28 with 812 points in the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship at Big Spring High School on Saturday.
Penn College men 8K: Holden Furey placed 150th among 218 in a time of 29:57 to lead the Wildcats. Also, Chase Ebeling was 159th in 30:16, Mitchell Campbell was 165th in 30:32, Jacob Parker was 176th in 31:12, Ben Heym was 186th in 31:51, Ethan Knapp was 188th in 31:55 and Aaron Guerrisky was 189th in 31:58.
Men's field: Johns Hopkins took the team crown with 23 points and was followed by Carnegie Mellon with 64 points. All other teams were in triple digits.
Individually, Kenny Wanlass, of Johns Hopkins, was first in 25:16 and Ryan Podnar, of Carnegie Mellon, was second 25:20.
Penn College women 6K: Alexis Durn led the squad by placing 148th among 208 in a time of 26:48. Also, Elaina Brady was 157th in 27:33, Ellie Miller was 178th in 28:57, Natalie Greiner was 197th in 32:32, Gwynn Johnson was 207th in 43:45 and Isabella Telford was 208th in 43:46.
Women's field: Johns Hopkins finished first with 42 points and Carnegie Mellon was second with 64 points. All other teams were in triple digits.
Individually, Chloe Bonson, of Carnegie Mellon, was first in 21:24 and Adriana Catalano, of Johns Hopkins, was second in 21:30.
