WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College downed Marywood, 14-5, in a nonconference men's lacrosse game Wednesday. The Wildcats improved to 6-2, while the Pacers fell to 4-4.
How it happened: Penn College jumped out to a 3-0 lead, with two scores from
Aidan McFalls and one by
Owen Kupsey (
AJ Dotson assisted on two of the three) before MU struck at 10:19 to get on the board.
Ian Stambaugh and
Jake Small netted a shot each to give PCT a 5-1 lead after the first. The Wildcats outscored the Pacers, 4-2, in the second quarter to lead 9-3 at the break.
Penn College outpaced Marywood, 5-2, in the second half.
Inside the box: McFalls netted a game-high four goals, while Small finished with a pair, and Dotson added three points, on a goal and two assists.
Ryan Twist earned the win in goal with five saves.
Up next: Penn College opens its United East slate Saturday, 1 p.m., at St. Mary's in a rematch of last year's conference championship game.
