SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College's women's tennis team fell 5-2 in a nonconference home match against Lock Haven University on Wednesday. The Wildcats are now 2-8 overall, and Lock Haven is 2-5.
How it happened: Penn College won two of six singles matches and one of three doubles matches.
Inside the box: Singles winners for the Wildcats were Faith Murray at No. 2, 3-6, 6-1, 10-8, and Cierra Miller at No. 4, 7-5, 5-7, 11-9. Penn College's doubles win came at No. 1, where Ellen Buckley and Murray teamed for a 6-1 victory.
