ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. -- Second-seeded Penn College fell, 21-8 to top-seeded St. Mary's in the United East Men's Lacrosse Championship game on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats capped their historic season with a 14-5 record and a runner-up finish for the second consecutive season.
How it happened: The Wildcats came out strong with the first two goals of the afternoon by
Elliot Dotson and
Owen Kupsey. The Seahawks scored the next 13-straight goals to take a commanding lead midway through the third quarter.Â
Kupsey stopped the bleeding with his second goal of the day with 6:26 left in the third. Despite a 5-4 advantage in the final quarter, the Wildcats wrapped up their season with the runner-up trophy.
Inside the box: Owen Kupsey was the lone multi-goal scorer of the afternoon for the Wildcats with two goals while
Elliot Dotson,

Will Ehret,
Aidan McFalls and
John Dolezal found the back of the net.
