Wildcats Clipped by Seahawks in UE Final

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. -- Second-seeded Penn College fell, 21-8 to top-seeded St. Mary's in the United East Men's Lacrosse Championship game on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats capped their historic season with a 14-5 record and a runner-up finish for the second consecutive season.

How it happened: The Wildcats came out strong with the first two goals of the afternoon by Elliot Dotson and Owen Kupsey. The Seahawks scored the next 13-straight goals to take a commanding lead midway through the third quarter. 

Kupsey stopped the bleeding with his second goal of the day with 6:26 left in the third. Despite a 5-4 advantage in the final quarter, the Wildcats wrapped up their season with the runner-up trophy.

Inside the box: Owen Kupsey was the lone multi-goal scorer of the afternoon for the Wildcats with two goals while Elliot Dotson, Devin Page, Will Ehret, Aidan McFalls and John Dolezal found the back of the net. Ryan Twist posted 10 saves in net.
