WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College overcame a four-point halftime deficit to knock off Alfred University, 13-10, in a nonconference men's lacrosse game Saturday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats improved to 3-0, while the Saxons fell to 0-1.
How it happened: Trailing 8-4 at halftime, Penn College opened the third quarter with five straight goals to take a 9-8 lead with 6:49 left.
Elliot Dotson netted a pair of scores in the run, while
Ian Edinger,
Owen Kupsey, and
Tate Renaud added one each. After Alfred evened the game at 9-9, the Wildcats took the lead for good with scores from
Elliot Dotson and
John Dolezal to end the third ahead, 11-9.
A.J. Dotson and
Aidan McFalls added a pair of insurance goals in the fourth for Penn College.
