Wildcats Drop Tough 1-0 Match at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Penn College dropped a 1-0 nonconference men's soccer final at Susquehanna on Saturday. The Wildcats generated all 11 of their shots in the second half and put seven on goal, but were held scoreless. PCT is 1-1-1 overall. The River Hawks moved to 1-2-0 overall.

How it happened: The Wildcats kept Susquehanna off the board until late in the first half, with Justin Crismale making two saves and the team adding a save during a 15th-minute sequence. Susquehanna broke through at 42:39 with the eventual game-winning goal.

The Wildcats generated sustained second-half pressure but could not find the equalizer, forcing seven saves after the half. The push included three corner kicks and five shots late with Robert Antonini, Miller Kahmar and Diego Diaz each putting attempts on frame, but couldn't break through.

Inside the box: Will Watson led the Wildcats with three shots and put one on goal. Diaz placed both of his shot attempts on frame. Crismale played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with three saves.

Zak Kreisher scored the game-winning goal, putting his lone shot on goal. Luke Baker recorded the assist for one point. Ryan Kramer played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with seven saves in a shutout.

Up next: The Wildcats visit Elmira College on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 4 p.m.
