Prior to Penn College, Sanders '19 was an assistant coach at Juniata College from 2019-2022. During the 2020 season, he helped the Eagles start off with a 7-3 record, their best start to a season since 2008, before the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 he helped guide Juniata to the Landmark post-season while coaching the Landmark Player of the Year, along with two-other all conference nominees. In 2022, multiple pitchers saw awards including a D3baseball.com Pitcher of the Week nomination, Landmark pitcher of the week award, and a complete game shut-out victory over Moravian University.

No stranger to Penn College, Sanders graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. In December 2021, he graduated with his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Juniata.

During his time as a Wildcat student-athlete, Sanders saw 132.1 innings on the mound in which he collected 100 strikeouts. Currently, he holds the record for most wins in program history with 12. Sanders was also involved in SAAC where he served as the Vice President and he assisted in day-to-day athletic operations within the athletic department. He managed the image database, archived statistics, provided in-game statistical coverage, and completed basic website maintenance.

In the summer, Sanders volunteers as an Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach for the Bloomsburg American Legion Post 273 baseball team. He is passionate about forming professional relationships with his players and positively impacting them both on and off the baseball field.Â
