Since 2013, Ian Catherine has been the assistant coach for Wildcat baseball.
Prior to Penn College, Catherine was a volunteer assistant for the varsity baseball team at South Williamsport Jr./Sr. High School. He helped the team finish second in District IV “AA” earning a berth into the PIAA state playoffs.
An alum of South Williamsport, Catherine was a multi-sport athlete earning letters in football, basketball, wrestling and baseball. In addition, he was part of the 2007 District 12 Big League team that won a state title and went to regionals.
Catherine graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with degrees in Mass Media Arts & Journalism and Communications Studies. While there, he worked in the institution’s athletic department and TV and radio stations. In his final semester, he interned in the sports information department.
He resides in Williamsport with his wife Sammi.
