Joshua Young, a PCT alumni, is the inaugural head coach of the Esports program at the college. He is a life-long competitive video gamer, Twitch affiliate, esports advocate and currently serves on the National Association for Collegiate Esports (NACE) Board of Directors. He built the varsity esports program in November 2018 from the club sports team and in doing so connected his two passions of education and gaming. Outside of gaming, he serves as the learning systems administrator for Educational & Emerging Technologies at the College, a unit responsible for deploying new instructional technologies, online course design, video production, and technology training. He also teaches courses in web development and project management. His passion for esports is only surpassed by his passion for helping students succeed.
