Stackhouse was named the head softball coach in 2019.
Penn College made a return trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2025 after a runner-up finish in the United East (PCT claimed the conference's AQ because the champion was in its provisional season) and finished the season with a 28-17 mark, with five all-conference selections and one all-region selection. In 2024, Stackhouse guided her team back to the NCAA Tournament after claiming their second conference championship by winning the United East crown. The Wildcats finished with a 30-12 record and landed a program-best seven all-conference selections and three all-region honorees.
The Wildcats finished 31-10 in 2023 and won the United East regular season with a 20-4 conference record. Penn College fell in the UE semifinals before winning the ECAC Championship. After a shortened season during her first year, Stackhouse led Penn College to its first North Eastern Athletic Conference championship in 2021. The Wildcats became the second program in school history to reach the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats made a return trip to the conference finals in 2022 before finishing runner-up.
Prior to Penn College, Stackhouse spent the 12 seasons as the assistant coach at Division II Mansfield University. She helped guide the Mountaineers to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference division title, four PSAC playoff berths, and an NCAA Division II Regional playoff appearance. Stackhouse was a member of three PSAC Coaching Staffs of the Year, and helped mentor two PSAC Players of the Year, two PSAC Freshman of the Year, and 20 All-PSAC first team selections.
Following a standout collegiate career at Division I Bucknell, where she was an All-Patriot League first team selection as a catcher, Stackhouse played professionally in Stockholm, Sweden. Stackhouse later returned to Bucknell as a graduate assistant for three seasons.
Stackhouse was inducted into the District IV Hall of Fame in 2008 and in the Hughesville High School Hall of Fame in 2015.
Stackhouse earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Education from Bucknell University. She resides in Hughesville with her three children and large-mouth bass Bubba, the head swimming instructor at the Stackhouse Family compound pond.
