Abby Baldys

Baldys joined the Penn College coaching staff in 2018 and helped guide the Wildcats to  the North Eastern Athletic Conference semifinals in her first season as assistant coach.

In 2012, Baldys graduated as a two-time captain and one of the most experienced players on the University of Pittsburgh roster with 67 games played and 66 starts during her career. A stronghold of the Panthers defense, she tallied four assists and 17 shots as an outside back, and she was honored as Big East Academic All-Star and University Scholar Athlete for four consecutive years.

In addition to her playing career with the Panthers, Baldys served as an Assistant Coach at the University of Pittsburgh Women’s Soccer  winter clinics.
Baldys holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Outside of coaching at Penn College, Baldys is a Composition Tutor for TRiO Student Support Services and resides in South Williamsport, PA with her German Shepherd, Blaze.
