GETTYSBURG, Pa. -Penn College had a good showing at Gettysburg Saturday, going 1-2 in three matches. The Wildcats shutout Southern Virginia 49-0, fell to Gettysburg 30-15 and tied King's College 26-26, though King's gets credited with a win based on the third tie-breaker criteria (total match points in non-fall matches). Penn College now sits at 2-9 this season.

Troy Leid all had perfect 3-0 days for the Wildcats.
King's College 26, Penn College 26: King's College earned a team win due to the fourth tie-breaker criteria, total match points scored only from decisions, major decisions and technical falls. King's had a 25-24 advantage in those matches.
King's opened the match with a pin and tech fall to lead 11-0. Penn College won the next five straight matches to lead 26-11. Sunseri picked up a 12-1 major decision,
Slade Storm received a forfeit, Replogle earned an 8-0 major decision, Leid picked up a pin in 45 seconds and Frankenfield also secured a fall in 2:05.
The Monarchs took the final three bouts with a decision and two falls to tie the match.
Penn College 49, Southern Virginia 0: The Wildcats picked up four forfeits and earned bonus points in the 4 of the 5 contested matches.
Storm and Replogle each recorded pins at 149 and 157, in 1:37 and 2:15, respectively.
Daniel Frankenfield earned an 8-2 decision at 184,
Connor Route had a major decision, 12-1, at 197 and
Brandon Stover ended the match with a fall in 3:53 at heavyweight.
Gettysburg 30, Penn College 15: The Bullets jumped out to a 9-0 lead after a decision and a gall. Sunseri put the Wildcats on the board with a 2-1 decision before Storm evened the match with a pin at 149. Decisions at 157 and 165, by Replogle and Leid, gave Penn College a 15-9 advantage. Gettysburg picked up a decision and three pins in the final four bouts.
