KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Penn College dropped its first conference match in a 2-1 loss to Keuka in a North Eastern Athletics Conference women's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 5-6-2 overall, 5-1-1 NEAC, while the Wolfpack improved to 6-5-1, 5-2.
Keuka made the most of its limited offensive touches and took an early 1-0 lead after Nicole Browe's goal in the 12
th minute. Penn College fired off eight shots in the opening half, four of which were saved.
The Wolfpack made it 2-0 in the first minute of the second half after Hannah Dalle deposited a pass from Darian Staufer. Penn College fired off six shots in the next 20 minutes, none of which hit their intended target.
Hailee Hartman put the Wildcats on the board when she belted in a rebound ball after
Robyn Beddow's attempt bounced off the crossbar in the 66
th minute.
Hailey Heistand turned away one shot in goal for Penn College, while Maeve Fletcher picked up six saves.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 11 a.m., hosting Wells College.
