WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lancaster Bible College scored two goals in the first and one in the second, in a 3-1 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats dropped to 5-11, 4-5 NEAC, while the Chargers improved to 11-3-3, 7-2-1.
Josiah Groff gave LBC a 1-0 lead in the 20
th minute after depositing a pass from Eric Bailey. Bailey made it 2-0 in the 26
th minute when he drilled a shot from 30-yards out to give the Chargers a 2-0 lead.
Randy Vance netted his fourth goal of the season on an unassisted tally in the 74th minute, before Edward Bills side volleyed a cross from Brendon Dooley in the 88
th minute.
The Chargers held a 21-8 advantage in shots and 11-1 in corner kicks.
Malcolm Kane stopped eight shots in goal for Penn College, while Thiago Naque picked up two saves for LBC.
Penn College recognized three players –
Kenny Zeager,
Robert Klingerman and
Christopher Rutledge – who were playing in their final home game.
