Wildcats Blank Summit, 3-0


WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Penn College shutout Summit University 3-0 in a non-conference women's soccer match Tuesday. The Wildcats improved to 8-7-3, while the Defenders dropped to 5-11.

Breanna Cline netted her first goal of the season in the seventh minute when she deposited Robyn Beddow's pass to the bottom right corner.

Laresa Paden scored her first goal of the year in the 47th minute with an unassisted tally to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead. Hailee Hartman found Jane Herman in the 52nd minute for the final score of the game.
Penn College outshot Summit 22-5 and held a 5-1 advantage in corners.

Colleen Bowes stopped three shots in goal for Penn College to earn the win, while Elysia Hinkel picked up seven saves for the Defenders.

Penn College wraps up the regular season Saturday, 3 p.m., at Penn State Abington.
