MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –
Cole Weachock's two-run homer in the eighth inning broke a 3-3 tie and lifted Penn College to an 8-5 win over Albertus Magnus in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday. The Wildcats picked up their first win this season an improved to 1-4.
Evan Vigna's two-run shot in the ninth capped a three-run inning for Penn College to secure the win.
Max Bair picked up his first collegiate win on the mound after two innings of work and
Zach Junk earned his first collegiate save in relief. Starter
Aaron Palmer hurled five strong innings to keep the Wildcats in the contest.
Weachock finished the game 3 for 5 with 3 RBI, while
Carlos Rodriguez,
Zach Weil,
James Simasek and Vigna all had two hits each for Penn College.
