MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville College dealt Penn College a 5-0 loss in North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Friday. The Mustangs improved to 1-0 NEAC, 1-2-1 overall, while the Wildcats dropped to 0-1, 2-4.
Joe Sheehan gave Morrisville a 1-0 lead in the first minute when he chipped in a pass from Jamieson McKoy. Sheehan struck again in the 52
nd minute when his shot deflected off of
Malcolm Kane's hands and McKoy made it 3-0 with a score in the 63
rd minute. The Wildcats hurt themselves in the 70
th with an own goal to make it 4-0 and Mickey Halstrom netted the final shot in the 73
rd minute.
Morrisville held advantages in shots 21-3 and corners 15-4.
Kane stopped 12 shots in goal for Penn College, while two players combined for two saves for Morrisville.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., hosting Westminster College.
