WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College received four goals from four different players in a 4-0 shutout win over Wilson College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer match Sunday. The Wildcats won their second-straight game and improved 3-3-1 overall, 3-0 NEAC, while the Phoenix fell to 0-2, 0-1.
Penn College took an early 1-0 lead when
Valerie Kubalak buried a feed from
Hailee Hartman in the 14
th minute.
Morgan Lutz made it 2-0 in the 43
rd minute when
Hanna Williams connected with Lutz on a pass. The Wildcats finished the half with a 17-1 shot advantage and 6-1 on corner kicks.
Robyn Beddow scored her third goal of the season in the 64
th minute – off a pass from
Debby Saenz – to put the Wildcats ahead 3-0.
Breanna Cline later found
Chelsea Zembower in the 71
st minute to give Penn College a 4-0 advantage.
The Wildcats finished the game with a 38-1 shots advantage and a 15-1 edge in corners.
Hailey Heistand and
Colleen Bowes combined for the shutout win in goal for Penn College.
The Wildcats return to action Wednesday, 4 p.m., at Penn State Harrisburg.
