MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn College lost a 1-0 decision to Penn State Harrisburg in a non-conference women's soccer match Wednesday. The Wildcats snapped a two-game winning streak and fell to 3-4-1.
Penn College started the game with three shots on goal in the opening 19 minutes, but two shots from
Hailee Hartman, and one by
Robyn Beddow were saved. The Lions went ahead 1-0 in the 21
st minute when Erica Hile found the back of the net. The Wildcats fired two more shots in the first half but both missed wide.
Hanna Williams and
Caitlin McCarthy both managed shots on goal in the second half, but both were stopped.
Harrisburg outshot the Wildcats 18-10, while Penn College held a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
Hailey Heistand stopped seven shots in goal for the Wildcats.
Penn College returns to the pitch Saturday, 2 p.m., hosting SUNY Poly.
