WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – SUNY Poly scored a goal in each half to hand Penn College a 2-0 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's soccer match Saturday. Poly improved to 3-4-1 overall, 1-2 NEAC, while Penn College fell to 3-6, 1-2.
Poly struck right before the first half ended when Francesco Tine deposited a pass from Sam Speziale in the 44
th minute. Poly outshot Penn College 6-3 in the first half, while the corners were even for both teams at 2-2.
Speziale scored Poly's second goal in the 75
th minute on an unassisted tally.
Poly finished the match with a 16-6 advantage in shots and 6-4 in corners.
Malcolm Kane stopped five shots in goal for Penn College and Mingoro Fanny had one save for Poly.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 1 p.m., hosting SUNY Cobleskill.
