WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – SUNY Cobleskill used a 44-point first half en route to an 85-72 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Tigers improved to 2-14 overall, 2-6 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 3-12, 3-6.
Kevin Laurence-El led Penn College with 19 points,
Landon Muller added 13 and
Thomas Ross and
Laquinn Thompson both finished 12
Frank D'Esti netted a game-high 23 points for Cobleskill, Brian Jackson scored 15, Garrett Pitcher added 12 and Malik Chambers finished with 10.
The Tigers never trailed in the opening half and led by as many as 19, 44-25, at 1:50 before taking a 44-29 lead at halftime.
The Wildcats never pulled within double-digits of Cobleskill in the second half, getting as close as 10 early in the half, and trailing by as many as 20 midway through the half.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 1 p.m., hosting SUNY Poly.
