READING, Pa. – Penn State Berks used a 43-25 first half to propel itself to a 99-80 win over Penn College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Wednesday. The Nittany Lions improved to 6-9 overall, 6-3 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 3-14, 3-8.
Landon Muller scored a career-high 20 points for Penn College, on 7 of 14 shooting.
Thomas Ross finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds to notch his eighth double-double this season.
Bryce Lonsway also added 15 points for the Wildcats,
Kevin Laurence-El finished with 14 and
Marquis Delgado netted 13.
Dameon Nixon led the Lions with 21 points, Christian Burggraf added 18, Nelson Hine added 17 and Michael Aldridge and Baba Waples each scored 14.
Berks scored 20 points off of turnovers and picked up 14 second-chance points. The Wildcats pumped in 15 second-chance points and added 17 off turnovers but couldn't overcome the first half.
Penn College returns to action Feb. 6 at Morrisville.
