WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College suffered its first conference loss in a 96-72 setback to Penn State Berks in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 2-7 overall, 2-1 NEAC, while the Lions improved to 2-7, 2-1.
Thomas Ross notched his fourth double-double this season with 15 points and a team-high 13 rebounds for Penn College.
Deaundra McCants netted a career-high 15 points for the Wildcats and
Marquis Delgado finished with 12.
Five players reached double-digits for the Nittany Lions led by Baba Waples game-high 23 points. Christian Burggraf netted 18 for Berks and Dameon Nixon finished with 12. Michael Aldridge recorded a double-double with a game-high 18 rebounds and 12 points.
Berks led wire-to-wire while generating 15 points off turnovers, 14 from fast breaks and 11 second chance tallies.
Penn College returns to action Thursday, 5 p.m., hosting Lancaster Bible.
