WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gallaudet avenged an earlier loss to Penn College with a 78-55 win over the Wildcats in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Bison improved to 5-5 overall, 2-2 NEAC, while Penn College fell to 2-9, 2-3.
Penn College edged Gallaudet 71-64 in December.
Kevin Laurence-El led the Wildcats with 14 points, while
Thomas Ross recorded his fifth double-double this season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Marquis Delgado finished with 10 points for PCT.
Joshua McGriff and Shawn Harrington shared a game-high 17 points for the Bison, Andy Cruz added 16 and Trey Gordon pumped in 11. McGriff and Cruz finished with 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.
Gallaudet jumped out to a 42-22 lead at the end of the first, and held a 36-33 edge in the second half.
The Bison converted 23 PCT turnovers into 19 points, and 12 offensive rebounds into 11 points.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., at Wilson College.
